Bio
Shane McClure most recently performed as Banquo in Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park's summer restaging of Macbeth. Last June, he was seen as Sir Toby Belch in Tulsa Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Last winter, he played the title character in Synchronicity Theatre's Tartuffe, and directed Waiting for Godot for that company. He has worked with Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park for the past 15 years in multiple capacities, holding the position of production manager for four years and festival director for the '99 summer season. In the summer of 2001, he directed his twelfth show for the company, Henry V. He has also played over 30 roles in productions for OSP. Additionally, he has worked across the state as an artist-in-residence teaching Shakespeare as theatre, toured extensively with the hour-long Shakespeare Off-the-Shelf productions, and was instrumental in the design and construction of the first stage in the O'Meara Amphitheater at Hafer Park. Shane has also served as a stage combat choreographer for area theaters in 25 productions. Other companies in which Shane has worked include Street Players Theatre, Stone Soup Theatre, Carpenter Square Theatre, Oklahoma Children's Theatre, 2X4 Productions, The Pollard Theatre, Nebraska Shakespeare, and The Alley Theatre in Houston. He is a founding member of the improv comedy troupe, "Everybody and Their Dog."
