From the Palaces of Knossos and Mycenae, dating from 1600 BCE, to Hadrian’s Arch, erected in the 2nd century CE, we will explore 1800 years of art.
Among the highlights are: Temple of Apollo in Delphi, the Altia in Olympia, the Theater in Epidaurus, Palace complex in Mycenae, the Propylaia in Eleusis, Gortis and Palace of Knossos on Crete, Thira and Akrotiri on Santorini, Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, as well as Athens with the temples on the Arcopolis, the ancient Agora and Hadrian’s Arch. Local museums exhibit excellent examples of art found in many of these sites.
