The University of Central Oklahoma's School of Music will present a night of musical electricity and passion with "Apassionata," performed by UCO's Wind Symphony, at 7:30 p.m., March 13 in Mitchell Hall Theater.

"Vientos y Tangos," composed by Michael Gandolfi, is a dynamically contoured piece inspired by the traditional sounds of bandoneon, violin, piano and contrabass.
Henk Alkema's "Sunset Jericho," features eight solo trombones in a challenging display of solo technique and ensemble playing, having what the composer describes as "strong male energy, as trombones have."
"Winds of Nagual," by Michael Colgrass, is based on the writings of Carlos Castaneda about his 14-year apprenticeship with a Yaqui Indian sorcerer.
Tickets to UCO's Wind Symphony concert are $12 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, $4 for UCO students and $7 for non-UCO students and children.
