January 22, 2008
The University of Central Oklahoma College of Arts, Media and Design has been awarded a gift of $50,000 to establish the Robert Glenn Rapp Foundation School of Music Upper-level Scholarship.
This competitive scholarship, paid over two years, will be made available to junior and senior year students in the UCO School of Music, as well as graduate students seeking a Master of Music degree.
"The scholarship was created to retain our best students and attract students to the graduate programs," said Dr. John Clinton, dean of the UCO College of Arts, Media and Design. "We are grateful to the Rapp Foundation for its support."
Robert Glenn Rapp established the foundation that bears his name in 1951 to focus on education with an emphasis on building programs and supporting endowments and professorships.
