UCO to Stage Renowned Comedy "Don't Dress for Dinner"
February 7, 2008
The University of Central Oklahoma's Department of Theater, Dance and Media Arts will present the comedy "Don't Dress for Dinner" at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 14-16 and at 2 p.m., Feb. 17 at UCO's Mitchell Hall Theater.
The fast-paced story involves a cast of characters who find themselves caught up in a succession of lies, deceptißons and misunderstandings that is guaranteed to keep audiences laughing.
"This well-written comedy paints a yummy web of marital buffoonery and mistaken identities that moves at the speed of light," said Donna Dickson, show director.
"The hilarious concoction involves a husband and wife's botched attempt at weekend escapades in the same place on the same weekend, and the collision of comedy that erupts makes for a delicious recipe of marvelous fun."
Originally a French play written by Marc Camoletti, "Don't Dress for Dinner" has been adapted to English and widely produced in the U.S. and Great Britain, renowned by critics for its humorously entertaining storyline.
Tickets to the show are $12 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, $4 for UCO students and $6 for non-UCO students.
