UCO Students Win Addy Awards
April 12, 2007
Several students from the University of Central Oklahoma Department of Design recently took home top honors at the Oklahoma City Advertising Club’s forty first annual ADDY awards.
Five UCO students won student ADDY Awards (first place) and four UCO students won Silver Medals at the awards banquet, held Feb 24 at the Bricktown Coca Cola Events Center.
UCO student Christi Cooper also took home Best of Show in the student division for her product packaging design.
Keith Webb, UCO design instructor, said the awards are a great honor for the students and UCO.
“The ADDY awards testify to the student’s capabilities in design, illustration and creative development because each work is judged by working professionals in advertising and design,” said Webb. “We in the Department of Design are all very proud of these students and their achievements.”
Students who received gold or silver awards now advance to the district ADDY Awards.
