UCO School of Music offering Piano Lessons
for 7 and 8-year-olds
September 27, 2006

The University of Central Oklahoma’s School of Music will offer piano lessons for children beginning Oct. 9.
Young beginners of the Piano Pedagogy Package Program must not have had any previous piano lessons and must be between 7 and 8-years-old.
Weekly private lessons will be taught by Pedagogy intern teachers at UCO and will be supervised by the Piano Pedagogy faculty.
“We are looking for six children to match the intern teachers who are available this semester,” said Dr. Chindarat Charoenwongse, head of UCO’s School of Music piano division.
“Our scholarship students will need to practice daily in order to keep the learning and teaching experience as smooth as possible. We hope that this wonderful opportunity will enhance children’s musical experiences through our piano lessons.”
Lessons will be divided between one weekly group demonstration class instructed by UCO Piano Pedagogy faculty and weekly private lessons to be arranged with individual intern teachers.
The cost for a package of 9 group lessons and 9 private lessons is $60 plus a $25 registration fee.
For more information contact Charoenwongse at (405) 974-3425.
