UCO MUSICIANS TO GIVE BENEFIT CONCERT
October 16 , 2007

Faculty members from the UCO School of Music will present a benefit concert of chamber music at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 29, at the UCO Jazz Lab in memory of Tony Raucci, a gifted composer who died last year in a car accident in New England.
The concert will feature UCO faculty members Drs. Tess Remy-Schumacher, Ron Howell and Sam Magrill performing the Brahms Trio in A Minor for Clarinet, Cello and Piano.
The trio recently recorded the work on CD, copies of which will be available for sale before the concert and during intermission, with all proceeds going to Raucci’s widow and young son.
In addition, Remy-Schumacher, a personal friend of the Raucci family, will perform Raucci’s only cello composition, “Variations and Interludes for Cello and Piano.”
Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be accepted for the late composer’s family. For more information, contact Remy-Schumacher at (405) 974-5650.
