Russian Pianist and UCO Artist-in-Residence Valery Kuleshov and his daughter Tatiana Kuleshova will be among the pianists performing at 6:30 p.m. May 8 at the UCO Jazz Lab in a benefit concert to be held to complete the UCO Artist-in-Residence endowment.
“The endowment provides our students the opportunity to perform with and learn from the finest musicians in the world,” said College of Arts, Media & Design Development Director Lori Alspaugh.
“With the help of the community we hope to raise just over $60,000 to complete this endowment.”
The father-daughter team will play Prokofiev’s Cinderella Suite, arranged by Pletnev. In addition, the evening will include selections from patrons Connie Fuller and Donna Miller.
The concert, sponsored by Edmond Music, includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner from Boulevard Steakhouse.
The minimum donation for the event is $75 and seating is limited.
