UCO concert to be a family affair

World Renowned pianist Valery Kuleshov and his daughter Tatiana Kuleshova, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory of Music, will perform together locally for the first time at 7:30 p.m. May 10 in a benefit concert at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Mitchell Hall Theater.
Kuleshov will perform Sorrow in Springtime, Op. 21 No.12 and Floods of Spring, Op. 14 No.11, by composer Sergei Rachmaninov.
Kuleshova will perform Hungarian Rhapsody No. 10 and Les Cloches de Geneve by Composer Franz Liszt.
The pianists will conclude the concert by performing, together, the well-known first movement of Piano Concerto No.2, Op.18, by Rachmaninov.
Also performing at the concert will be students from the Central Community Music School, a non-profit music school on the UCO campus, who study under Kuleshov and Kuleshova.
Tickets for the benefit concert are $20, or $15 for parents accompanied by children. Children under 18 are free. All proceeds will go to support music scholarships for UCO students.
