UCO’s Central Community Music School

to Hold Piano Ensemble Camp

The Central Community Music School at the University of Central Oklahoma will hold a piano ensemble camp from 9 a.m. to noon, June 19-22 in the UCO School of Music Building.

The half-day camp is designed for students of all ages and skill levels.  Daily sessions will include two 50-minute group coaching classes, paired by playing level, and one functional skills class, focusing on ensemble sight-reading, harmonization, transposition and improvisation. A recital will be held at 7:30 p.m. on the final day of camp.

Student pairs are asked to arrive with two pieces learned and ready for the coaching classes.

UCO music faculty members Drs. Chindarat Charoenwongse, David Forbat and Linda Owen will be the instructors for the camp.

Tuition is $160, plus a $25 registration fee per person.
