for High School Students
September 5 , 2006
Area high school student actors, who want to perfect their auditioning techniques and improvisation skills, are invited to the Fall High School Day acting workshop presented by the University of Central Oklahoma College of Arts, Media & Design and the UCO Department of Theater, Dance & Media Arts.
The event will be held on the UCO campus from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23.
Students will attend workshops in auditioning techniques, improvisation, stage makeup and stage combat. They also will have an opportunity to audition for scholarships.
Students who attend will receive tickets to that night’s production of “Heritage” at UCO’s Mitchell Hall Theater. The play is making its North American Premiere at UCO and is directed by Charlotte Headrick, a visiting professor from Oregon State University, who has received numerous awards and accolades for her work.
The cost for the High School Day acting workshop is $10 per person, which includes dinner. Space is limited and reservations are required.
