Russian Pianist to Perform at UCO

World-renowned pianist and UCO
Artist-in-Residence Valery Kuleshov will perform a solo concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, in the university’s Mitchell Hall Theater.
This performance will include the U.S. premiere of Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky and Igor Huddle, as well as works by Franz Josef Haydn, Frederic Chopin and Sergei Rachmaninov.
Kuleshov, called one of the most brilliant virtuosos of the new generation, has studied with some of the world’s most acclaimed musicians and performed in concert halls throughout the world, including the Milan Conservatory in Italy, the Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
The Dallas Morning News has described Kuleshov’s playing as “pyrotechnical rockets of sound.”
