Student's showcase work, direct three nights of plays
April 14, 2006
The University of Central Oklahoma Department of Theatre, Dance and Media Arts will present a variety of student produced plays at 7 p.m. April 27 through 29 in Pegasus Theater, which is located in the College of Liberal Arts building on campus.
These one-act plays are part of the senior capstone course, Play Production, taught by Dr. Don Bristow.
“We have always felt that there is no substitution for seeing a production through,” Bristow said.
“From choosing the play to casting the show to rehearsing the actors to technical and dress rehearsals to performance. Many schools have gone to just simply directing scenes in class, but I think the experience our students get is invaluable for their future career plans.”
Admission to the plays is free.
