Famed Russian pianist to perform at UCO

World-renowned pianist and UCO Artist-in-Residence Valery Kuleshov will perform his last solo concert of the semester at 7:30 p.m. April 28 in the university’s Mitchell Hall Theatre.
This performance will include works from Franz Josef Haydn, Robert Shumann, Franz Liszt, Camille Saint-Saens, Federic Chopin and Piotr Tchaikovsky.
Kuleshov, called one of the most brilliant virtuosos of the new generation, has studied with some of the world’s most acclaimed musicians and performed in concert halls all over the world including the Milan Conservatory in Italy, the Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
The New York Times has said, “He has everything: the fingers to negotiate the virtuoso repertory, the musicality and imagination to make the most familiar music sound fresh and compelling.”
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $4 for students.
