UCO presents student-written one act plays

The University of Central Oklahoma Department of Theater, Dance and Media Arts will present the winning plays of its first student-only short play contest at 7:30 p.m. April 15 in Pegasus Theater located in the College of Liberal Arts building.

Sponsored by the College of Arts, Media and Design, the American Democracy Project and Student Activities, the evening includes the plays “A Minute to Breathe” by Steven Reckinger, “The Last Resort” by Jack Duffe, “Oddball Elites” by Brandon Thompson and “Rehapâ” by Colin Andrulonis.

The theater department’s Play Productions Class will direct these winning plays, with UCO students in the cast and crew.

Each winning playwright, selected through a panel of independent judges earlier this year, was awarded a $250 prize. No tickets are needed for the plays.
