Nicholas Steward

Nicholas Steward is an instructor of Percussion at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he teaches the Marching Drumline and applied lessons.

Nicholas received his Bachelors degree from Central Michigan University, and Masters in Percussion Performance from Oklahoma City University.  Currently he is working on a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Oklahoma where he serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the percussion studio.

Nicholas currently performs as principal percussionist with the Enid Symphony Orchestra, as a section member of the Ft. Smith Symphony Orchestra, and as an extra with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.  In Michigan, he was a member of the acclaimed Robert Hohner Percussion Ensemble, and performed with the West Shore Symphony Orchestra and the Midland Symphony Orchestra.
