Lu Deng

Ms. Lu Deng received her Masters of Music from Northwestern University
and Bachelor of Arts from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in
China. She started to play the violin when she was four years old
and appeared frequently as a concert violin soloist at the age of
13. In the First Chinese Youth Violin Competition in 1980, she won
the honor prize. She has served as the Guest Concertmaster in the
Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and also has been a member of many
orchestras, including the Chicago Civic Symphony and the Oklahoma
City Philharmonic. Ms. Deng has taught, as an applied violin instructor,
at the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University.
She also has taught string classes at Paris District Schools in
Tennessee and Suzuki Violin at Michigan State University.
