David Hanan

Mr. David Hanan is the Associate Director of Bands at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he conducts the Symphonic Band, directs the Marching and Pep Bands. Mr. Hanan in addition teaches Instrumentation, Form and Analysis, and instrumental music education course.
Mr. Hanan received the Bachelor’s degree in music education from Missouri Western State, a Master’s degree in trumpet performance from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Kansas City in Missouri.
Still active as a trumpet performer, he has been a member of the Saint Joseph Symphony. Having taught in Missouri, Kansas, and now Oklahoma, Mr. Hanan is currently active as a clinician and guest conductor all over the tri-state region. He is a member of the College Band Directors National Association, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, Music Educators National Conference, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
