Ms. Thrash holds a BA degree in Speech and Drama from Fort Hays State University and an MA in Creative Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma. She worked as a broadcast producer-writer for various advertising agencies as well as serving on the adjunct faculty in the Mass Communications Department at Oklahoma City University before returning to her first love, theatre, as performer, choreographer, director and educator. Prior to joining UCO’s Music Theatre/Opera Division of the School of Music as part-time faculty in 2003, she also served on the part-time faculty in the Theatre, Dance and Media Arts Department.

She has performed for such theatres as Papermill Playhouse, Artpark, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Gaslight Dinner Theatre, Music Theatre of Wichita and Strawhat Music Theatre, among others. She has also been a guest soloist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

As a director and/or choreographer she has staged numerous theatrical productions, concerts and special events both regionally and locally. These include a wide variety of musicals from “The Will Rogers Follies” to “Forever Plaid” to cabaret shows in NYC to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. For UCO Music Theatre she has directed productions of “Into the Woods”, “Drood”, “Forum”, “Assassins”, “Baby” and “The World Goes ‘Round”.

Over the years it has been her pleasure to work in various capacities with such artists as Bob Hope, Tanya Tucker, Deidre Hall and the cast of “Days of Our Lives”, Mary Hart, Sally Mayes, Dee Hoty, Donna McKechnie, Ann Miller, Eddie Bracken, Tony Roberts, Kaye Ballard, Laurence Guittard, Phyllis Newman, Jerry Mitchell, Baayork Lee, William Katt, Chad and Jeremy, John Davidson, Stacey Logan, Susan Powell, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelli O’Hara, Jody Miller, Robin Brooks Sullivan and Lara Teeter among many other theatre, film & television professionals.
