Our School of Music’s music theatre and opera productions have a tradition of excellence in Oklahoma. Productions are contemporary and classic, familiar and ground-breaking. As a testament to the quality of our program and its productions, you will find many of our music theatre and opera alumni performing on Broadway and touring with national companies.

 The Fix

Part tabloid, part The Manchurian Candidate, The Fix is a totally original biting satire ripped from the headlines of today. A popular presidential candidate is dead and his maniacal scheming wife thrusts her son into the political spotlight. The most dysfunctional politicians this side of Washington. For Mature Audiences. An Oklahoma premiere!

 It’s a German Thing

7:30 pm, Nov. 13-15, UCO Jazz Lab

A concert of songs and opera scenes performed in German. Come and hear the wonderful music of Mozart, Strauss, Schubert and Beethoven in a delightful evening of music.

Jingle Jam

8 pm, Dec. 6-8 & 13-15, UCO Jazz Lab

Get in the holiday spirit with this heart-warming collection of your favorite seasonal tunes performed by some of UCO’s finest vocalists. A lively evening of entertainment for the entire family. The Music Theatre holiday revue is an Edmond tradition. Reservations strongly recommended.

 Pure Imagination: The Music of Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse

8 pm, Feb. 14-16 & 21-23, UCO Jazz Lab

Join us for a "Once in a Lifetime" evening of song from an imaginative pair of songwriters. Featuring hit songs like "Candy Man," "Goldfinger," and tunes from the hit musicals "Jekyll & Hyde," "Doctor Doolittle," and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," Pure Imagination has something for everyone

An attractive street singer is brought to court and made a countess by the simple expedient of marrying her to a newly-titled count who is really her street-singing partner and lover. Engaging romantic intrigue, colorful costumes and delightful music.

Steel Pier

Book by David Thompson; music/lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb

7:30 pm, April 3-5; 2 pm, April 6, Mitchell Hall Theater

A captivating assortment of Depression era souls dance their way into fame and prizes. Take a trip back to the days of the Suzy-Q, the Turkey Trot and The Shag. An Oklahoma Premiere.
