The UCO Jazz Lab keeps Edmond rockin’ with live music
every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights…and that’s
just the beginning! Chances are you’ve never seen anything
like it! The Jazz Lab serves as a state-of-the art music learning
center and recording studio during the day, and at night it
turns into a live music club. We boast an intimate, family-friendly, non-smoking environment. We’ve even teamed
up with the neighboring Hideaway Pizza to provide a full service
bar with food inside the Lab.
Besides its normal Thursday-Saturday schedule, the Jazz Lab
hosts performers on other nights, including performances by
UCO’s award-winning Jazz Ensembles and Combos as well
as performances from music legends like Maynard Ferguson,
Jerry Jeff Walker, and Chick Corea. Our schedule also includes special shows
featuring our talented vocal music students. We also celebrate
the holidays with special events like our annual Christmas Music Revue and New Year’s
Eve Party.
The UCO Jazz Lab opened to the public in March 2002. Since
that time, the Lab has won "Best Place for Live Music" multiple times in the Edmond Life & Leisure's Reader's Choice annual poll, and has been repeatedly included as a finalist for Best
Live Music Venue in the Oklahoma Gazette’s Best of OKC
readers’ poll and as a finalist and winner for Best Place for Live
Jazz/Blues Music in the Daily Oklahoman’s Readers’ Choice.
