For the past three years Deborah Luber-Myers has been a part of the adjunct faculty at the University of Central Oklahoma where she instructs art majors in Drawing I and Drawing II. Deborah received her BFA in Art Education, and Masters of Education with an emphasis in art degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is currently working on a Ph.D in Professional Education at Oklahoma State University. She enjoys teaching and is proficient in multiple mediums, along with maintaining a private studio at her home, where she prefers to work with oils, pastels and clay. For several years Deborah has exhibited artwork at numerous local, regional and national exhibits and has worked with various artists across the United States. Through a continuous exploration of organic and figurative forms she strives to capture the beauty of light, shape, color and the tensions, which interact in these relationships. Believing it is these artistic reactions to the external world, which evoke dynamic energy and spontaneity in recreation qualities that are appealing to expressing the interconnectedness of life. Deborah and her husband Gary live in Edmond and together they have five children.
