Studio Art - PHOTO ARTS

The photo arts program is one that considers traditional and digital photography as a fine art. Historical and contemporary formats are explored through coursework and lectures. Silver and non-silver processes are explored. Students are given a strong art background to compliment their creative photographic eye.
Students that graduate with this degree are usually seeking advanced studio degrees, work for large production firms or media driven companies. The entrepreneurial student will freelance in both the art and commercial sector. The student will graduate with a formidable and extensive knowledge of photography as a fine art form.
This traditional fine arts degree encourages the student to develop in many areas allowing exploration and self-expression. Many gradutes pursue advanced degrees in the studio arts or professional careers in the fine arts.
