Degrees
The Department of Art offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts program
with three degrees that provide exposure to a large range of
art, experiences and media.
Under the guidance of dedicated and experienced faculty members,
you will become skilled in many 2-D and 3-D media. Extensive
classes in theory and art history serve to stretch your imagination
and stimulate your creativity.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)-Studio Art
   
The major part of the program consists of studio work and includes instruction in the principles of design and the use of various media. Students examine influencing and prevaling social issues, and study how to reflect the energy of contemporary society.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)-Art History
  
The Art History program offers students the opportunity to study a wider range of artistic traditions than most traditional art history programs.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education(B.F.A.)-Art Education
 
The Art Education program at the University of Central Oklahoma offers students a curriculum leading to certification for teaching art in (K-12) public school systems.
