March 12, 2007

The University of Central Oklahoma's Art Department Chair Joseph Daun was recently selected to exhibit his work in the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's first "Art 365" exhibition opening in March of 2008.
Daun`s proposal was one of six selected from 134 entries reviewed by guest curator Diane Barber, Co-Executive Director of DiverseWorks in Houston, Texas.
The artists will work with the guest curator during 2007 to create a body of original and innovative artwork for this major exhibition, along with receiving a $10,000 honorarium.
"I am really excited about being given the great opportunity to be one of the first participants in the `Art 365` program," said Daun.
"I am hopeful that this award will spur my creative development and provide me with more opportunities to exhibit my artwork both in Oklahoma and nationally." Joe Daun running on his art piece “Wheel”
